46441 is seen from Burrs Country Park with the 1.26pm "local" to Ramsbottom on the 11th March 2000. Note how the photographer has so skilfully timed it so that the "rods down" appear between the railings on the bridge parapet!

46441 runs into Irwell Vale with a "Top End Shuttle" from Ramsbottom to Rawtenstall on the 22nd December 1996. The bottom end of the line was occupied by "Santa Specials".

Although Betty Beet's Ivatt 2-6-0, 46441 was not prototypical when it carried BR maroon livery, I still quite liked it as it looked pretty. Here it is at Little Burrs with "The Lakes Express" on the 25 June 1995.

44422 approaches Rawtenstall with a goods on the 16th April 2005. A dull day, but I still quite like the shot. Just after I'd taken it my camera lens fell in bits! Maybe it was trying to tell me something! God knows what the driver's thinking..."glad that's over" perhaps!

S & D 2-8-0 53809 pilots 9F 92203 through Burrs on the 21st August 1993. The 9F seems to be doing all the work - perhaps because her owner, David Shepherd, is on the footplate. This was a colour shot which I've produced in sepia tone as it seemed to work better - it being a non-sunny day.

48278 stands at Ramsbottom on the 29th August 1993. The loco was really 48431 in disguise as one of the end of steam Copy Pit "Bankers" and the transformation was designed to celebrate the end of the East Lanc's "25 years since the end of BR steam" festival.
